FAQ
Why should I recycle my old appliances?
Old fridges can use up to three times as much energy as new ones. According to ENERGY STAR®, getting rid of an old fridge and freezer can save you up to $150 a year in energy costs.
What appliances can be recycled?
We will pick up a working, residential-sized refrigerator or freezer. You can also add working small appliances like room ACs, dehumidifiers and compact refrigerators/freezers to be picked up during the same appointment.
How many appliances can I recycle each year?
Eligible customers are limited to two large appliances and four small appliances every year. You can have multiple appointments if that works best for you.
Do I have to be home during the pickup appointment?
If the appliance is indoors, someone 18 or older must be home. For outdoor pickup, you can call to request a not-at‑home option and leave the appliance outside with a signed release.
Can you carry my appliance up or down stairs?
Due to liability reasons, we cannot pick up large appliances from areas where we have to travel up or down stairs. We also require a clear path to and from the pickup location so we can maneuver the appliance(s) freely.
